Local artist, Velia Lala, announces the opening of her new design center and boutique in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Velia invites the community to celebrate the official opening date on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm.
This new space will showcase Velia’s one-of-a-kind paintings, WearableART collection, clothing, home décor, furniture, and more. Other local & regional artists will also be featured within the center including handmade jewelry by Teresa Halverson, paintings by emerging artist Dick Mahlum and photography by Matt Stone of Stone Sharp Images. The design center will also include a designated classroom space to host art workshops like Glitzy Pours, Layered Techniques, and Corrugated Construction with Resin. The design center will also have a boutique aspect, as Velia Lala Designs is unveiling her newest collaborative project with Las Vegas designer Catherine Triviletti, a resort collection entitled “Velia” featuring one-of-a-kind casual and upscale clothing and accessories for men and women.
“My vision was to bring a versatile space that the Fort Walton community can enjoy in different ways,” said Velia. “The center will be a creative outlet that can highlight and inspire all types of art.”
The design center and boutique are open to the public beginning at 10:00 am. The opening celebration begins at 5:00 pm and will include refreshments as well as a tour of the new facility. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
