The Arc of the Emerald Coast selected as the beneficiary of Winn-Dixie Community Bag Program

Milton, FLA, November 20, 2019 – The Arc of the Emerald Coast has been selected as a beneficiary of the Community Bag Program at Winn-Dixie in Milton for the month of December. The Winn-Dixie Community Bag Program, which launched in February 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work. The Arc of the Emerald Coast will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during December unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

“We are so excited to be chosen for this community program,” said Donna Tashik, Foundation Director of The Arc of the Emerald Coast. “The funds will go directly towards our services, programs, and transportation for our clients in the Santa Rosa county area.”

The Arc of the Emerald Coast is a non-profit based in Fort Walton Beach, but services Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton Counties. Founded in 1992, The Arc of the Emerald Coast provides services to those with cognitive, learning and developmental disabilities.  Learn more about The Arc of the Emerald Coast by visiting http://arcemeraldcoast.org/.  About the Community Bag Program

The Community Bag and Giving Tag Program is designed to make it easy for shoppers of Winn-Dixie to give back to their community while supporting the environment. Each time a shopper purchases the $2.50 Community Bag with the Giving Tag the shopper will have the power to direct a $1 donation to a local non-profit. Each month the stores’ leadership will select a new non-profit to receive the donations.
