Sociallee PR & Digital Media is now officially “True Story Public Relations”

 Locally-based public relations agency, Sociallee, has officially announced their rebrand as True Story Public Relations.

Founded in Destin, Florida, in 2015, Sociallee, now known as True Story PR, started with Whitney Lee, APR, CPRC, as a 29 year old solo practitioner. Lee had previously served as the Director of Marketing at the Hilton Sandestin, as well as the Events and Marketing Manager at Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village. Sociallee served small businesses in Okaloosa and Walton counties, from vacation rental companies, to restaurants, boutiques, non-profits and more. Today, True Story has grown to a team of eight talented women spread across the state of Florida, and serves clients nationwide and internationally. Their campaigns have received numerous awards, including a VISIT FLORIDA Flagler Award, as well as the #1 Integrated Marketing Campaign in the state of Florida for The Island Resort’s Misty the Mermaid campaign.

“This name change has been on my heart and mind for quite some time,” said founder and principal, Whitney Lee, APR, CPRC. “The name Sociallee gave many the impression that we only provide social media services. While that was our bread and butter in the beginning, our services span far beyond that now with national public relations, email marketing, influencer campaigns, brand strategy, graphic design and more.” 

The name “True Story” was inspired by the agency’s mission and vision of working with brands and businesses that want to authentically connect with their communities and target audiences. 

“In today’s world, people want to spend their money with businesses that do good – that aren’t afraid to be transparent and stand up for what they believe in,” said Lee. “These are the clients that inspire us to do our best work. Telling their brand’s true story in an authentic way allows their target audience to connect with them which ultimately, sells their product or service.” 

True Story specializes in serving clients in travel/tourism, hospitality, products and services. Each client’s strategy and messaging is customized, based on their goals and the audience they seek to attract.
