Foundations Medical Center announces new Physician Assistant

Foundations Medical Center is excited to announce the addition of a Physician Assistant, Amy Drab, to their team. Alongside Dr. Chavers, Drab will work to address patients’ unique issues on their health and wellness journey with Foundations.

Amy Drab P.A. is a mother, wife, physician assistant and previous associate professor of education at Kettering College of Medical Arts. She has over 20 years of experience as a physician assistant.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Professions/Physician Assistant from Kettering College of Medical Arts and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska.  She has practiced in the specialties of family practice, OB/GYN, urgent care, and emergency medicine and is an IFM (Institute for Functional Medicine) certified practitioner. Most recently, Amy worked at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine where she had an opportunity to collaborate with some of the most prominent thought leaders and practitioners in functional medicine evaluating and treating challenging functional medicine cases from around the world.

Amy found her passion for functional medicine early on in her career after observing that patients often had a long list of unexplainable or unattributable symptoms and wanting to find the real reason why these patients were ill. The experience became very personal when multiple members of her own family were healed of chronic health issues through the perspective of functional medicine when nothing else worked. She has a special interest in treating autoimmune diseases, female hormone imbalances, anxiety, depression, ADHD, cognitive decline, obesity, metabolic syndrome, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, mold/mycotoxin illness, heavy metal toxicity, and stealth infections. Amy also enjoys teaching classes which empower patients to learn more about how to resolve or improve their health conditions.

“Amy is knowledgeable, caring, and truly passionate about getting to the bottom of difficult or unexplained health issues.  We are so fortunate to have her on our team.” Stated Dr. Kyle Chavers.
